Sopore, Dec 01 (KNO): Sopore Police on Monday inaugurated a Volleyball Championship at Khushal Sports Stadium— engaging eight local teams in a bid to channel youth toward sports.
The event is aimed to combat drug addiction among youth and promote peace, brotherhood. The event was attended by ADC Sopore, Joint Director Education, civil society members and others.
SSP Iftkhar Talib while speaking to reporters as per the news agency — Kashmir News Observer (KNO) stressed the need for productive pursuits, "Youth should spend their time for productive things, education as well as sports.”
He assured full support from the police. “Whatever productive youth come up with, they will always have support from the Police”, SSP Talib said—(KNO)
